Compatibility & Safety
- Mains-voltage equipment: the metal case must be safely earthed, and the plug, voltage and electrical approval must be suitable for your location.
- The 4000W figure is an ultimate resistive-load rating, not a continuous rating. The supplier states inductive loads should be limited to approximately one-third of the resistive rating.
- Use only with loads that explicitly support phase-angle voltage control. Not suitable for most brushless or induction motors, electronically controlled appliances, LED drivers or sensitive circuit boards.
- Output meter readings can be misleading without a load; the supplier specifies a load of at least 20W for measurement.
- Use in a dry, ventilated area with appropriate over-current and residual-current protection. A licensed electrician should perform any required wiring or adaptation.
