The game is played in 8 rounds. Each round consists of the following three stages:
1. Explore an area
Each player chooses an area card from their hand and places it face down in front of them. All players then simultaneously turn over the placed card and add it to the right of the previously played card in their respective play area.
2. Find the Temple
If a player plays a card with a higher value in the top left corner than the card he played in the previous round, he draws 1+ the temple card of the number of clue ICONS he has.
3. End of exploration
In this phase, players take turns playing their rounds. According to the number of cards played in their round, the player with the lowest number moves first.
During your turn, take one area card from the center of the table and add it to your hand. If you drew a Temple card in the round, select one to add to your play area. Place the remaining temple cards face down on the bottom of the pile.
After all players have completed their turn, remove all remaining area cards from the center of the table and replenish them with new cards.
Game over
The game ends after the eighth round. All players flip all area cards in their respective playing area to the back. Then, starting with the card on the far right (played last), turn over each area card in turn and calculate the score. Finally, all players count the score of the Temple cards they own.
The player with the highest total score wins the game! In the event of a tie, the player with the smaller value of the area card among the tie players wins.
